6 Month Pictures!

Our little boy is looking so sweet (and big!).
In deep thought...with a little drool on the chin.
Luke crossed his hands on his own for the pic below. We were dying during the photo shoot. What a ham!

Solid messy foods = A big boy bath!

Our adorable little one...looking like his Daddy.

Luke tried to convince us he wasn't putting the bubbles in his mouth.
Luke loves playing wih the bubbles! He "rakes" with his fingers to try and gather all of them and then tries to eat them (surprise, surprise).
First time eating veggies! On the menu...homemade pureed carrots.
"What is this?"

Getting more used to it.
By the end Luke was scraping off all he could off of the spoon.
Pampers model material? Well, of course.

Luke started on veggies when he turned 6 months. I'm making the baby food right now because it seems pretty simple. Steam or bake, then puree and serve. We started with carrots, next was sweet potatoes (his favorite so far), and then we'll hit him with a good dose of his greens with some pureed green beans. After that we have some bananas for him to try with his oatmeal in the morning. His other big thing is drinking a little bit of milk or water out of his bottle without a nipple. He also loves to drink from our own glasses of water! If he sees us drinking from a glass he'll begin begging for some.

6 Month Check-Up!

Grandpa Cooley was convinced that Luke was going to be somewhere around 30 lbs....not quite, but here's Luke's stats:
Height: 27 1/2 inches (75-90 percentile)
Weight: 18 lbs. 13 oz. (75 percentile)
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 inches (75 percentile)

" I promise Nurse! Let me just get a few more crunches in and I know I can shed a few ounces!"

This is what the paper on the table looked like after Luke had it's way with it. Hence, the crinkled 6 month sign in his 6 month picture. :)

Luke's Dedication

A special day for our little Luke went something like this...
Down to the white undershirts...just relaxing after a wonderful day!

Loving on Mummo and GG!

Lukie with his 2 Godmoms. Pretty lucky guy!

A sweater vest people... need I say more?!

" Alright all you party people...Let's head back home and eat!"

Having our family there made the day even more special...

A pic with all of the other kiddos who got either dedicated or baptized. 11 babies in all and they were all so cute. One of my favorites was a baby boy who managed to take his sock off while on stage, chew on it in his mouth, and then place it in the paster's arms. So cute!

Luke did such a great job during the entire ceremony! While Pastor was doing the opening sermon Luke stood on my knees, leaning forward, eyes on Pastor the entire time he was talking. Luke was number 4 out of 11 to go on stage to become dedicated. Dad did a great job reading the letter that we had written to Luke. We love you Bubba.

Trick-or-Treat!

My bubba all dressed up and lookin' so cute.
A Morin family first...

Luke's ready!

The mane and the tail...seriously.

Luke seeing what's what.

Luke would wobble his head back and forth if his giraffe head wasn't on straight.

The mane just gets me. Dad's making last minute adjustments before we're off!

Have you ever seen a giraffe with such chunky cheeks? Seriously people, I just love to eat those cheekers...I can't get enough.

The above pic was Luke's very first house!

The crew... minus the cute, little cowgirl Jenna. :)

Fun for the whole fam. We loved walking up and saying, "Trick-or-treat for this first timer." Everyone loved seeing this little guy out there all dressed up.

All trick-or-treated out. Until next year...

Luke's loot. Not too shabby for a first timer! His Mummo (Ben's mom) made him his candy bucket...so cute.

Our first Halloween with Luke was THE BEST! The whole day was so much fun and way more exciting than I even imagined. We had a great time at Tammy and Tony's before trick-or-treating with our neighborhood crew. The kids were all so excited about their costumes that throughout the day we would get glimpses of each part of their costumes. Luke loved hanging out with his buddies and had fun looking at all of the colorful wigs. Then, we got so excited to come back to the house to get Luke ready for trick-or-treating. He looked A-dorable all bundled in his little giraffe costume and he even had a matching giraffe blankie to keep him warm. :) Then off we went to the neighborhood next door and we met up with all of the kiddie crew again. Luke stayed awake until 7:40 (10 minutes past his bedtime!) and then we brought our little pooped giraffe home.
