Luke turns 5, Drew is 4 months, Auntie Nae turns 21, and Happy Mother's Day!!

There are special moments in your life when all of a sudden you realize just how much time has passed, how blessed you are, and how much you have grown. When my first boy turned 5 I didn't realize what a special day it would be. It is a day that all of those thoughts circulated in my heart and I will cherish it forever. I blinked and my sweet Luke is now 5!!!
When people asked Luke when his birthday was this was Luke's response. "My real birthday is on May 6th but because my Mom and Dad have to work we are going to have my birthday on May 9th." In these few pics, we are celebrating Luke turning 5 on his real birthday...May 6! He brought Bomb Pop popsicles to school that day and on the way home from school he said, " Mom! I'm a WHOLE hand now!!!" I will remember him forever seeing him say that with such excitement in my rear view mirror.
After dinner, we had just a small cake for Luke but we were completely out of candles. I was so bummed that I had dropped the ball and didn't have candles for his birthday cake!!!! BUT we found a pillar candle and stuck it in the middle and everyone was all smiles with that. :)

I think Luke had the biggest cheer section there ever was at 5 year old's baseball game! I was back at the house getting ready for the party with Grandma C. and Drew but everyone else started the party going to his game! He had Grandpa and Grandma Uitti, Auntie Meg and Chad, Gpa Cooley and Aunite Nae, Ellie, Jacque, Ethan and Mrs. Mags!!!
Like a pro.

Back setting up for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle birthday party! We were supposed to have at the park next door but there was a chance of rain and we didn't want to risk it. It ended up being a beautiful day and it worked out great just staying home. It always works out. :)

Luke and entourage are back from the game and his buddies arrived for Pizza, salad, sewer lids (Oreo cookies), and Green Slime (juice)!

Yep, they were into it!

One of my favorite turtles.
Our baby is FIVE!
I had to post all of these pics because I just couldn't get enough of how cute they all were! We are so grateful that Luke has so many great buddies that he gets to play with everyday at school. Added bonus: Mikey (far right) might be one of the coolest kids ever! Check him out in each picture. Everyone needs a Mikey in their life!!!

My littlest turtle, so sweet.
Gift opening was a fail. I underestimated what would happen when I told a group of 5 year old boys it was present time after slurping down all carbs and sugar. All the presents were opened at one time by all of them!!!!! At least Luke loved it! Still sifting to put together gifts with names.
A crowd favorite was a new baseball bat from Aunt Cathy and Uncle Tom!
Special time with GG...
Good thing present time was so short. When everyone started heading outside, big Ethan stood up and we all realized he was sitting in this mini chair the whole time!!! HAHAHA! This chair is too small but this one is just right.
Family game of Baseball and Kickball!!! This was my FAVORITE part of the party! After all of his Luke's little buds were picked up, we had a blast playing Sandlot together in the backyard!
We started with baseball and once everyone made it outside switched to kickball! SO fun!

Patrice kicked ANOTHER out of the yard! Student-Teacher/Nanny with many talents!
Ellie girl, you are the greatest.
Another hit for Luke!

Our Jacque, a woman of many talents as well!, just not at hitting the baseball. ;) Love you, J!

Luke got out by his own Dad at his own birthday party! Poor kid.

Papa the kickball pitcher!
Papa Cooley manning outfield!

Our cheer section!

All pooped after a long and great day!

Our little team with the absolute BEST nannies in the entire world! We couldn't have done it without these two amazing women.
Some more of our favorites...Ethan and Mrs. Mags!
A baby looks so good on her...just sayin.
And of course, we love, LOVE, us some Auntie Meggie and Chaddy!!
As well as our lovely GG and Aunt Cathy!!!
 Papa and Gma U!
and Auntie Nae (Birthday girl too!), Papa, Gma C!
My little boy is not so little...FIVE. I blinked.
Morning after, we all went to Ayrton's church to watch him in his musical! He rocked it!!! We love you, buddy!
AND out to brunch afterwards for Mother's day!
This is the epitome of too much birthday. Our little princess, stick a fork in her.
A few highlights from earlier that week...
Both Grandma's surprised Luke and Elle at their preschool Mother's Day celebration since I was at work. So great!
Drew is 4 moths old...
I will post stats soon!
