Birthday Girl, Cottage, Pitt Wedding, TC and MOST of our Summer 2015!

It is a good thing that our kids like their smoothies, especially little miss. It is the only way I can get her to eat any other veggie besides avocados!
Drew man is all about the chew.
Still laid back babe. He can fall asleep anywhere.
Luke's choice if popsicles for the summer...the bomb pop!
We had to say goodbye to our wonderful, Patrice. Patrice was my amazing student-teacher for almost 2 years. Then our kids' full time nanny 2 different times and sandwiched in between she was my long term sub while I was out on maternity leave with Drew. Patrice landed herself a 4th grade teaching position down in South Carolina. We had a fun time having her over for dinner and playing a special edition of JEOPARDY. We all learned some new factoids about that great state!
Eating delicious Traverse City cherries. Mmmmm.

I know I will look back on these lazy, summer days and really miss them.
Drew is SO my kid.

Drew is 6 months, a HALF of a YEAR! Time has flown by faster than I can even understand. No more infant tub. No more baby swing. No more cradle next to the bed. My babies are all growing up and it is hard to believe that Ben and I have reached this milestone in our life. We are absolutely beyond blessed.
In the big tub for the first time and he loved it. Drew loves to splash and pick at the drain. Life is good. :)

Below: Drew is chilling at the beach watching his brother and sister splash around with Dad.

This beautiful, crazy, FUNNY, smart, kind daughter of mine...
Dear Drew, Don't ever stop cuddling your Mom. Love, Mom
He is just so squishy and comfy.
These 4...best buds. Ellie was standing next to Zaydee but quickly ran next to Ayrton because she LOVES Ayrton!

Elsa and Anna!
Luke has mastered his monkey bars! Now, the trick is to keep Ellie off from trying.
We had 2 big checkups! Luke had his 5 year and kindergarten appt.
Luke's 5 year stats:
Weight: 44 lbs., 75th percentile.
Height: 47 in., 97th percentile!!!!!!
Drew Man's 6 mos. stats:
Height: 27 inches, 50th percentile
Weight: 18 lbs. 1 oz., 50th percentile
Head Circumference: 17 1/4 inches, 75th percentile

My 2 boys...LOVE!
I love when Luke and Elle do this...They get a pile of books and bring them to their picnic table to read. :)
So, I left all 3 kids and the camera in Drew's room. I was in the kitchen for a while and when I came in to check on them they just started laughing. I took the camera from Luke and scrolled through the pictures to see what was so funny. It all felt a little "HangoverISH". I posted just a couple out of 46 shots that were taken. You will get the gist quickly.
Picture #1: Her shirt makes this so perfect. My sweet, polite, little sweetie....Um, yeah.
First item on Drew's head.
Second item: Baby Girl (Ellie's doggy). Sure, it will stay.
How about this shirt?
Thank you, Drew, for being our baby and smiling all the way through. This is only the beginning big guy...
Monkey see, monkey do.
Riding around in an automobile. With no particular place to go. Just around the block with no car seats!
Cottage: Summer 2015
We had another wonderful week at the cottage and we are so thankful that Uncle Tom and Aunt Cathy are so generous in sharing it with us. It is a little slice of heaven. We had lots of visitors and celebrations this time around! Day 1 was spent with Uncle Tome and Aunt Cathy.
Below, Aunt Cathy and Ellie are listening to Cinderella together. Aunt Cathy is such a good sport because they listened to it over and over again until Ellie fell asleep!
The next day both sets of Grandparents came and we celebrated Little Miss Elle turning 3!!! How did my baby girl get here so quickly??! She is quick-witted, smart, funny, very observant, creates laughter, always knows WAY more then what she leads on, she is independent, she can entertain herself, she is protective of her family, she wants to be a BIG GIRL, loves her brothers, cute as a button (and she knows it), she thinks white hair (like hers) is the most beautiful, she likes to store all of her little toys in her purses, she takes her " baby girl" everywhere she goes, she changes how words sound to make them funny, she loves to cuddle, she will rub our arms and likes to throw blankies on us to make us "cozy", blue and pink are her favorite colors, she calls all sweatpants "cozies", she can cry to laugh or vise versa in an instant, she picks out pretty shirts and clothes out in public, she is very honest and will tell you if she doesn't like something, she wants to be strong, doing everything Luke can do but she is also very feminine, wanting to pick out her own clothes and "getting ready for the day" and loves all things beautiful.
We love you so much, Elle!

Scavenger Hunt: Princesses vs. Prince Charmings

"Hear ye, hear ye! Which maiden will fit this glass slipper?"
Nice try, Grandma U.!
Ellie quietly and timidly held her foot out the whole time while Ben tried it on the other fair maidens.
It fits!
Ellie is the princess!

We are so blessed to have such a loving and supportive family!

A birthday call from Auntie Meg...
Happy 3rd birthday sweet Elle. I love you more than words can describe.
Papa and Gma Cooley stayed a few nights and we celebrated Papa's birthday the next day!

Who would not want to kiss those huge, delicious cheeks?!
Such a little bubba gubba...
Cottage style bath :)
What was our bedtime story that night? That's right. Cinderella.
Happy Birthday, Papa!!!
Awwww, look at that smile, Dad!

After our delicious dinner that Ben made, it was time to go out for ice cream!
