Dad is 70, Wiffleball, COVID, and Quarantine

Back to TC we go!!

Ben and I were able to take the convertible out to the wineries one night. Even though they were closed the view is always open. Happy 14th, Ben!

The next morning mom and dad surprised us with our Anniversary gift for year 14...Year 14 is cotton, new bathrobes!

We spent a day in Leland at Fish Town. It was so, SO hot and we couldn't believe how high the water was!! This was the summer where most of Fish Town was under water. :(

Quick trip back home...
Elle received her next award in her piano lessons!
Harlow and tubes!
Lunch in the cool basement is a perfect way to spend a HOT afternoon!
I just felt like I should get a COVID test. With us being home for a few days...Luke and Ben having baseball practice, Luke's soccer practice, we were out and about etc. I just wanted to make sure we were safe before heading back up to Mom and Dad's. I got to the testing site 30 minutes before they opened and this was my wait already!! Rapid test came back negative and I had no symptoms so back up to TC we go!
And here we are!
Elle used her own money to buy live worms for everybody to use for fishing! Elle, you are the coolest. You saved your money to buy WORMS!
And, Luke, with his worm and hook.

The next day....SURPIRSE!!!! HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY, DAD/PAPA!!! We totally surprised Dad and threw him a surprise party at the Red Mezza Grille. With COVID, we were able to secure an outdoor space just for our family. It was perfect. Dad, you are the very best Dad, Papa, and all around human. We all love you so, SO much!!!

Dessert and gifts back at the house...

Elle got Papa his travel gum, new bobbers and of course worms!

Next up: Playing the game Spot It!!
Happy Birthday, Dad! We love you so much!!

After a relaxing day, we were off to Auntie Nae's for a BBQ and a backyard game of wiffleball!

That night...Harry Potter movie night!
Next day the 5 of us took a trip to the Lavender gardens.
SO beautiful!
We also took a trip out the Old Mission Lighthouse and of course, the kids wanted to go in. Swimming fully clothed and down to their scibs in the van.
Lots of jet skiing time!
Gma and Drew completing puzzles together...
We were off to the family farm before the storm came to go cherry picking!

We headed back home after we picked cherries.

AND the next day, was the day, my COVID swab test came back positive. Now, since then I am pretty sure I was negative. However, for me, the next 8 days of quarantine was full of so much worry and anxiety that I had infected every single person in my family. I prayed. I cried. And with all of the worry, I also felt hope that everything was going to be ok. It was like I was living with full worry yet full hope at the same time. Ben did a GREAT job loving on me even though I was pretty much crazy and keeping our kids calm and having fun each of the 8 days I had to stay in quarantine.

Ben had me laughing so hard! We talked over Duo on our cells and he would wear this image because it came with a mask to protect him from my COVID.
Talking with Elle...
Our basketball hoop was put in though!! Ben and the kids have been so excited for this! Due to COVD, the installation date kept getting pushed back but finally, it's here!

That week, Ben took the kids a few times for a bike ride down to Spencer Park to go swimming. Luke caught a minnow!
Building their science experiment from Aunt Cathy and Uncle Tom!
Baseball everyday!

See this chair...This was my quarantine chair :(. I ate my meals, read, took daily walks from here and watch my fam from afar play. On my last day of quarantine, I made this chalk art for them. Love you family so much!!!
