Spring Break 2022!!!

 SPRING BREAK!!

We were all able to surprise Drew for March is Reading Month Secret Reader! We had the very last slot, Friday before Spring Break at 3:30. We all knocked on Drew's classroom door, he came to answer, and surprise Drew! Ben read our family favorite of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. All of the students were perfectly quiet and facing forward with Ms. Davis at the helm!

Then off to the Pistons game!

The next morning...Happy birthday to me!! Breakfast at my absolute favorite Rochester Brunch House.

Then go 2-4! Indoor baseball with our favorite baseball crew.

We wear red for championship Sunday!
Then off to Cleveland we drove for Sunday night to catch our flight to Ft. Myers the next morning.
Even though this sweet boy is almost as tall as me...He will always be my baby.
We made it to Ft. Myers! We love being Papa and Gma and first up, much overdue Christmas gifts.

Look out pool! We're back!

Luke could play flip the bottle all. day. long.

The Hargett Family came over to hang!! Yay for childhood friends to catch up on life and our kids playing together!
A walk to the donut shop in the morning with Papa is everyone's favorite tradition!
Here's me looking all fierce not knowing that Ben is taking pics. That's right. I'm just a natural. Don't mess with Mom.
It was a windy day at the beach!
We could still collect shells...
And swim in the waves...

And play a family game of football...

Rest and listen to music...
Take a walk with my Benny boo...

And be together!
Then on the way home this was just another piece of evidence that it was a great day.
Cleaning and sorting shells with Gma!
Date night to the show of Margaritaville!

This was us with all of our best friends. We can totally hang with our retirement community besties, have a few drinks, and love it!
Ben took Dad and Luke to the Twins training camp to watch one of Luke's baseball coaches who plays for the Twins!
We love you, Coach Palm!!!

Hanging poolside...
Whomping Dad in pickleball.

Love our family.
This is Luke pretty much summed up in a pic. ALL IN, ALL. THE. TIME.

Oh, how I've missed you North Captiva. You hold so many memories. SO excited to take my family back to banchie island!! We went in college twice and this is the best to be able to take my family to be with them and their families.

Taking our shuttle to the port.
On the ferry!
Elle. I love you.
Elle loving all of the modes of transportation!
Luke and Carson were off on the kayaks to go around the island within the first few minutes. I mean, it's a tough life.

Lunch with my people.
Drinks with my girls.
Yep. That's right...
AKA: Cousins

Riding the golf carts!

Ben and Drew took a turn!

Ice cream after dinner!

Popcorn and movie night!
And in the morning...Same group 9 hours later.
This island has everything!
Biking around the island...

Hoops.

I could watch the manatees all day long!

Everyone, find your people. Or become someone's people.
The people who know you for so many years and still laugh with you, cry with you, and love you.
In order left to right: Carson, Pat, Bing, Evie, Laney. Court, Elle, Ben, Luke, Drew, Manda, Ave, Joe and Chet
All in 24 hours. We'll be back!
Back to the mainland.

Thank you Mom and Dad for another great trip!! We love you so much!

Don't mind us. Our flight was canceled as well as the other million spring breakers down in Florida. So with no plan, no road trip snacks, no pillows or snuggle blankets; just a lot of sunburn and love we are off in a rental.
