Closing Time: Last 22 Tourney

For the last tournament, Elite played in Owosso...
Papa and Gma Cooley came for the weekend! Mom and Dad used to live there and so we got a tour of the town, knocked on the door of their old house, and visited Dad's old high school that he taught at. We love listening to their stories. ๐Ÿ’œAfter the games on Saturday, we all went to one of our favorite Cooley pitstops...Chesaning. We would drive through Chesaning to get to our Grandpa and Grandma Cooley's house as kids. We would always stop by either the The Showboat Restaurant and/or Malt Shop while driving through. Loved taking our family there...like nothing has changed.
That night our hotel was kinda a bust so we headed home and were so grateful to crash there. We celebrated Papa's birthday too! (Luke was already asleep)

Birthday buddies Papa and Ellie are going parasailing together over East Bay!
Luke we are so proud of you!
These 2. Little bros and the best of buds.

Our Elite boys played 7 games and had 7 straight wins ending our season with another championship win!! So, so proud of you Luke and Elite!! This last game meant a lot because it was played by Oxford...My own old students were on the opposite team. One of the only times I cheered opposite of my Wildcats and I was so proud of both team. What a special way to end our season! (The last game ended at like 10:30 at night. It was a very quiet ride home that night...Exhausted, dirty and happy.

As the players were being called up individually, this crew below got sneaky and ready with silly string. So awesome.
Great job, 2-4!!

Don't mind my mom voice ๐Ÿ˜ Just super proud of our kiddo.

And all the younger siblings sprung into action to celebrate!
This marks a time for ALL of us to celebrate together!! It's been a great ride together as families.

Great season, boys. We had so, SO much fun celebrating all of you!!
2022 Season Stats: 56-14-3

If you think these tourneys are only about the boys welp, this happened in the afternoon on Saturday!
Yep. A limo drove from Rochester to Owosso to pick up the girls, the sisters, to go party in Rochester for the night for Bella's bday!

Of course the big bros just had to jump in.

Each girl had her own tent to sleep in!

This little nugget when we arrived back home at 1:30 am.

Ellie is double digits! 1-0!

This girl right here. Our sweet Ellie Marie, sweet as can be....is 10!!! WHAT?! Elle, we love you so much and we are so grateful that God gave you to us. Ellie you surprise us at every turn. You love so hard, you love your brothers so much and feel left out when they are busy doing something else. You are a lover of all animals. You still love all different drinks and you love snacks. You are independent and confident. You love to read, make friendship bracelets, and this summer you started your own business called Elle's Home Helpers. (You even had business cards made and passed them out to all our neighbors!)  You truly believe you can do anything and we pray you keep that spirit! Take these pictures above and below as an example. Rochester Hills participated in this community event called Play Ball. They do this event across the country where your skills score is compared to others at your age bracket. At the batting skill rotation they were ready to throw you a softball when you informed them that you don't play softball, you play baseball. A week later, Dad got a call from city council saying that our son, Elle, had won the 10 year old age bracket! Not only did you win, you won against boys in that division (because of the baseball, they accidentally switched you)! Dad drove you down to pick up your trophy!!! Let nothing get in your way and keep doing big and brave thing, Ellie!!
Cosbey kids stayed a few days with us!
A bike ride to Spencer Park for a swim is a must!
