Ben and Ellie's annual basketball game!
Ben and Luke's annual basketball game too! Ben got Luke again but it was oh, so close! And look at that side-by-side! I think it's official.
Luke was able to go to Washington DC with his 8th grade class for 3 nights and 4 days!! I dropped him off at Hart Middle School at like 6 am. When I parked the car, I asked him if he needed me to go in with him to check in or anything like that. His response, " Mom, I think I'm good." So after a quick hug, he walked toward the school with his backpack on, rolling luggage in one hand and his pillow in the other hand. (Luke is just getting so big!! Always, my baby though. :) )We are so grateful for this opportunity! For Luke to be away from us and to grow a little bit more into his own skin, to be with his class and teachers, and to learn all the things that DC has to offer... So awesome!!
Here they are packed and ready at 6:30 am before getting on the buses!
I think my favorite moment was this pic. Our friend who chaperoning the trip sent this to us. She mentioned Luke and his buddy (Aiden) were there "go to" whenever they needed help on the trip. This makes my heart so proud and happy.

The hotel room... They stayed in an Embassy Suites in DC. Luke had a group of buddies he roomed with. I mean. With your buds in a hotel, no parent in your room, in DC. What could go wrong?! I honestly don't even want to know. So, so fun!

The last night they were in DC, they took everyone to Dave and Busters for dinner and to just play and have fun. Our all in Luke was for sure all in!!
