Savoring last days of summer...

Our beautiful girl. Back to school shopping!

We LOVE the Olympics! USA! USA!

One of Drew's favorite summer things to do when we have some down time is catching frogs in our yard! He makes a home for them and names them. Can you find the 4 frogs below?
Elle tried out and made a new soccer travel team this year! YAY!! We were sad to leave Magic but a lot of Elle's friends ended up leaving as well and so it was time. She made the Oakland Nationals!
I guess there she is...Can you spot her? LOL.

Her new team had a pool/volleyball party to get to know each other and connect.

Luke's best buddy, Aiden, celebrated his birthday with a trip to Cedar Point and a sleepover. How fun is that?! The boys getting on the Blue Streak.
Luke, Colin, Aiden, and Grayson.

Elle was able to babysit Harlow, and Drew and I surprised the girls with donuts and a trip to the park!

One of my favorite water rides ever...Snake River Falls!! This ride closed down after this summer and I'm so glad Luke had a chance to ride it before it closed. I mean, look at his smile!!

That night it was Luau night at Wednesday night youth group!

Elle & Evi.
It was a quiet night at home with Drewsie so it was card games and ice cream outside with Mom and Dad!
Elle and Ri.
Another fun day of babysitting Harlow!

Elle at Olivia's birthday!
Margaret, Lyla, Olivia, Riley & Elle

Seraphina, Elle, and Elsie all made their new Nationals team together! They all played Magic together before and they all go to middle school together as well.

Their first scrimmage up in East Lansing.

Middle school orientation for Elle! Practicing her new locker com. She got it. :)
Elle & Kalyla.

After orientation, donuts!
Ben and I had a lot of fun this summer taking morning dates together! On Friday mornings, we would ride our bikes with Elle to take her to babysit Harlow. Then ride to Starbucks on the corner for coffee and then head downtown to a yummy breakfast spot. These were such fun times and for us, the way to date!

Luke and his Elite team had their first "get together" with their new Elite team! With a new head coach, same assistants, and a mix of old and new families, it's an exciting transition for sure.
It cracks me up because I have NO pictures of the boys BUT Lori sent me these pics of our girls. :)

Katie, Elle and Keke.

On my first day of work, Elle had the counter decorated for me! LOVE her!

While I was back to work, Drew spent the day at the pool with the Mattinas.

Luke and John hung out.

Ben took the kids and Harlow on a bike ride to Spencer Park's beach!

This summer Ben started helping out with driving the Pedal Pub in Rochester!

Drew at his well visit waiting for his shots.
A clean bedroom with a warm breeze and fresh air...This is a gateway to my heart.
Luke's watching Outer Banks sooooo, here is life right now. :)
Ben and Luke going over his class schedule and routes between classes at Stoney Creek High School!
Summer. Open windows with a fresh, warm breeze. Bike rides to the ice cream shop. Friends and family time with no time restraints. Car always packed with chairs, sunscreen and bathing suits. Sports are played outside. Excitement of trips to new and old places. Early (or late!) morning coffee outside. Watering the gardens and filling the humming bird feeder. Early sunlight and late sunlight. Screen door opens and shuts all day long. I LOVE SUMMER!

The Cottage 2024

The Cottage 2024: When Luke came home from TN, we left the next day to head up to the cottage for the week! Thank you to Uncle Tom and Aunt Cathy for sharing their piece of heaven with us for the week! AND with our new handy and very clearly labeled cottage key, we had ZERO hiccups getting in this year! YAY!!

Our first stop is always the local grocery store. It used to be a Tom's but is now a Family Fare and this is always a fun trip. We plan out our meals, get sugary cereal, and all the yummy treats and drinks for the week!
After we unpack and put the groceries away...We head for the beach!
The day was so warm and wavy!

Finding Petoskey stones.

Baseball. With a stick and stone.

We just love having family time here.

Bros. 💙💙

Me time!

Our whole world.
We went into town each day for Elle's basketball conditioning for Fall 7th grade tryouts!
Luke and Ben went on their annual golfing round together! Elle, Drew, and I met up with them on the backside of the course again.

Driving the cart is a crown favorite!
What night time looks like. Cuties.

Back to the court!

Mom and Dad came for the day to celebrate Dad and Elle's birthdays! A favorite moment...  We were in the lake when they pulled in and they got dressed and came out in the lake with us! To see Dad be able to move so healthy and well STILL fills my heart right up. And mom still looks and moves like she's 28!

Birthday buddies!!

Birthday dinner at The Red Fork!

Lukey.

Back at it at the court! Boys played catch and I went for a run.

Relaxing at the park after our workouts and Elle wanted to show off what a baller she is with her battle wound on her ankle. OUCH!!
We had the kids take a run from the park to the ice cream shop. Get out any energy you have left!

Phew. Ice cream for everybody!
Elle kept her daily stats so she could reflect on her progress and make new goals for herself. She sure is intentional!
Another beautiful water day for us!

Sandcastle building!

Elle showing us her tricks on the beach!

It was another magical and special time at the cottage. Till next time!
