Luke, Elle, and I ran the Hometown Hustle 5K again this Fall to raise money for our schools!

Luke had a guardian angel during the race. Luke's hip slipped out of place on the trail around Mile 2 and Luke fell. Neither of us were with him and this older guy came out of nowhere, picked Luke up, popped his hip back into place, and Luke was fine and finished running the race with no pain. Thank you, God!

Luke's 14 year old check up stats on 10/2/24:

Height: 6 feet and 3/4 inches- Percentage is off the chart

Weight: 134 bs.- 75th percentile 

After practice, all showered, and homework at the counter.

Drew played on a fall basketball league through Oakland Fieldhouse. Drew was number 0 and an absolute baller out there!!

 

Luke's Freshman HOCO!

I mean, I'm just so proud of Luke. He has really embraced being in high school! He never even talked to a girl on the phone, or dropped by their house 4 weeks ago. Now, he is going to Brooke's house to ask her to HOCO?!?! It is all so sweet, surreal, and special. We are lucky to watch you grow up, Luke.

Inspired by Brooke's favorite movie...I had a date Friday night at Michael's to get all the supplies for Luke's first HOCO proposal! How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days themed!

Luke and EJ headed over to Brooke's house to ask Brooke and Ally to HOCO. The girls said YES!

Brooke's parents invited Luke and EJ to stay for a homecooked dinner! Boys, you are so brave.

Suit shopping! I was stressing over this because I have NEVER bought a suit before for HOCO. And truth be told, neither has Ben. Ben always wore like Dockers and a suit jacket so I had no idea how this would go. After some convincing, Luke came with me and it was a wonderful one stop shop with Adam (the sales rep) who was the best! Luke got his suit, tie, white collar shirt, and a pair of dress socks with the pants tailored to tall Luke, and whole suit pressed, before we left his store. 

Suit. Check.

Ben helped Luke order Brooke's corsage. Check.

Luke bought their HOCO tickets. Check.
