Our baby is SIX!!!

Luke is  6 years old!!! He has outgrown the pages of his baby book. He will be going into a new school year not as a "new" student but as a confident second year scholar. His favorite specials are PE and Media. He is a reader and practices his nightly reading with his bag of books. He hand wrote all of his birthday invites and thank you's this year! His favorite books is this Dino picture book series...Dino-Baseball, Dino-Basketball, Dino-Soccer, you get the picture. He loves anything that is wrapped around competition. He loves to win and we are working on how to appropriately "lose" a game. He loves all Detroit/MSU/UvM teams and sports. He checks the scores and stats each morning on the ESPN app. He loves to play sports and is never nervous about trying a new sport or game. Right now his favorite sport is baseball and he loves to play Monopoly Jr. and Sorry. He loves to play with his sister. She calls him her Prince Charming and they still think are getting married one day. He is done sharing his room with Ellie and he is now roomies with his brother. He still kisses me on the lips and loves to cuddle on my lap. He is a kiddo who still needs his sleep and loves the mornings over the evenings. He is my morning guy. His favorite way to fall asleep is having me scratch his back and he always requests me to sing Amazing Grace. He thrives when given a purpose and ticks in this way as his Dad. His best buddies are Ayrton, Jackson, and Vaida but still says that Ellie is his best friend. Happy birthday, sweet Luke!! We love you!
We had a mini family party the night before his birthday... Our party of 5.
Dino-Baseball from Papa and Gma!! Look at that smile :)
All 3 celebrating together!
AND Dino-Swimming!

Lukey thanking Drew for the Lego set he got him.
Our big guy!
Waking up on his birthday morning...Jacque pancakes before school!
Off to school for the first time as a 6 year-old!
Luke got lucky that his birthday happened to fall on a Friday and it was a 1/2 day of school that day. So we were able to have his birthday party that night starting at 4:45 at our local bowling alley! Luke and Elle have gone bowling a few times with Ben, when Ben has filled in for someone on Auntie Megs and Uncle Chad's bowling team. Luke has been telling us all year that this was where he wanted his birthday.
This was the first year we celebrated with just Luke's friends and not our own friends and/or family...Little man is growing up and doing his thing.
Birthday crew from left to right...Mayer, Elle, Zaydee, Jackson, Mikey, Luke and Drew, Ayrton, Jason, Andie, Charlotte, and Vaida!
Everyone was actually really into bowling! They bowled for about 45 minutes straight, stopped for some pizza, and then finished up their 15 minutes of lane time.
These two...Can you even handle it? At 3, these cuties are inseparable.
Luke, always a number guy, checking out his stats.

Our 3 bowlers...They are pretty cute. We just had to be careful of Drew not getting his fingers smushed between the bowling balls.

Luke wanted a Detroit Tiger's party this year!

Wow, Luke. You turn 6 and now you have a pose?!
After the party, Luke was able to invite Ayrton to come stay the night. They came home and all 3 of them, including Ben, didn't even step inside. They were off playing baseball and basketball.

Next up, opening all of the new toys, shooting Nerf guns all around the house, popcorn and TMNT shows, and finally asleep at 10:30ish. They were up at 6 am and outside by

Spring Fever!

Ben and Luke celebrated Dads and Donuts at Luke's school a few weeks ago. So you know what that meant...Moms and Donuts was for sure happening at home!
We are so blessed to have the Frost family as life-long buddies! Brad and Becky took Ben in as he was ever so lonely for me, when working as a hall director at the University of Toledo. Since then, we make time to spend a weekend together at least every other year and we love them! Luke and Ellie look forward to seeing their Lily and Ellie and often ask, "When are we going to Ohio?"
This time they were up to stay with us for the weekend and we had a blast! The last time I was preggers with Drew, so we had lots of talking to do and we easily made it to 3 am both nights.
We had such a fun time going to Luke's baseball game, eating dinner downtown ( and the kids got their own table and did great!), playing at the park, strolling downtown for ice cream...wonderful!

Below the kids were posing as manikins. :)
We have a WALKER folks!!! The last Morin member is walking! It only took him 15 mos but we are so proud of our little Drewman. Look at that smile...He is pretty proud too.
Here is a video of this little fella...
Luke is in "full swing" (pun fully intended) of his baseball season. First game he had a home run! This kid LOVES baseball. I think it is his favorite so far.

Ben is coaching with his buddy Coach Ryan again.

Next weekend, the kiddos had a special day with Uncle Tom and Aunt Cathy!
First stop was the baseball game...
Then off to Oakland University to see a theater program of Curious George...

Finally, topped it off with a visit to Auntie Megs salon! What did the parentals get to do?? Lunch date with our littlest little. :)
Sunday we were off to the Tiger's game right after church! This was Elle and Drew's first Tiger's game!
First, a trip on the baseball Ferris Wheel!

Elle was so excited to get her face painted! After the painter was done she gave Elle a mirror to see her face. Elle looked at herself, smiled and then asked, "Could you add some more pink?" I laughed out loud. This girl!

Dad, Tiger's, and a Larabar is Drew's current definition of Heaven.

The kids got to run the bases after the game!
We were back with Drew because of the stroller and the two of them were off! They both held hands to run together and then in happened. The sheer excitement and joy overtook Luke and he sped off running those bases as fast as his growing legs could carry him. He was a Tiger in that moment. I was so happy for him! However, this left Elle back somewhere between home and first. She had no idea where to run next, completely confused and sad that her brother had left her, she began crying and yelling for me. I ran over and we finished the bases holding hands. We were the very last ones to make it around. You can see the raker lady behind us trying to hurry us up. Same exact moment, two completely different experiences. I love being a mama.
Entering onto the field!
Luke with his glove, running around, pretending to catch the ball, still living the dream as a pro.
What my mornings look like and sound like in this fleeting moment of time...
