Over the Mighty Mac, Across the U.P., and to Houghton, MI we shall go!

First week down teaching for me and the kiddos start back to school on Tuesday but no problem! Let's head up north! We met in Clio as I drove right from school in Oxford and Ben picked the kids up early from NC3 and there we met at a Little Cesar's for dinner off of I-75. It is s busy life but we are so grateful to do things as a family and have great people to visit!

We arrived at around 2 am that Thursday night/Friday am in Houghton at our hotel and Megs and Chad were brave enough to share a suite with us! 

After breakfast, it was time to checkout the pool and it was our favorite pool setup yet with the ages of our kiddos. Hot tub? Check. Full pool? Check. A pool only 1 foot deep? Check. A button to turn on the mushroom that even Drew could reach? Check. 

All three loved holding hands and jumping in at the same time!

Then we picked up Stan and Grandpa for lunch! 

Afterwards, we checked out the Chutes and Ladders park downtown. So fun!

And then we were off to Ben's Dad's favorite....Misery Bay! This was the spot where Jim (Ben's Dad) and Mom would go every year over labor Day weekend to spend time with their college friends. Ben and Megs have a lot of wonderful memories of being up here with their Dad.

Our froggy potty has been the best travel potty! We just bring it with us on any long road trip and that's what the kids use when there is no where else to stop! Makes traveling with three littles a lot easier!

It was a FUN weekend, but we sure did do a lot! Even enough for our spunky Elle to fall asleep on the way to dinner!

The last morning we were there, Elle woke up in the am to go potty but then she couldn't find her way back to our bedroom so she just crashed with the boys. :)
