Grateful and Thankful, Thanksgiving 2019

Nothing kicks off our Holiday season like volunteering at the Thanksgiving Basket event through our church. Friday night, Ben and Luke headed into Pontiac to help unload all of the items off the semi. They organize the food and products so the next morning the volunteers can come and form like an assembly line to put together their baskets. This is a special time for these two.

Early the next day...

We delivered to two different families this year. One of the families we kept in touch with and invited them to come join us for Christmas Eve service...They plan on meeting us there!
Life can get busy and our perspectives can become easily skewed but this season we will be counting our blessings. We are so grateful!
We all had a short, 2-day week before Thanksgiving vaca so we decided to surprise the kids to kickoff the weekend. On Tuesday when they got off the bus we all headed right to the movies to see Frozen 2!
Play dates for all 3 the next day...

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Uncle Chris' house!
Aunt Cathy made "turkey bites" with the kiddos...

We all ate and ate and then had fun with a gratitude scavenger hunt and lots of rounds of Zingo!
Everyone played...Gigi won too!

Uncle Tom and Luke playing Battleship!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends and family!

Afterwards, we headed downtown to see the lights and call Santa at the new phone booth they had setup.

Look at the sheer joy on my sweet babe's face. Tis' the season!

The next night, I headed out to my 20 YEAR high school reunion. CRAZY! I really did have so much fun! I picked up one of my high school besties, Alison, and it was great eating and catching up beforehand! For the reunion, we all met up at Cherry Hill Lanes and it was great to see all my 99 peeps. I didn't remember to take many pics but Laura texted this one to me. High school was a LONG time ago, but it was a part of my life, it mattered in my journey, and I am happy that I had the chance to go.
To conclude our Thanksgiving weekend, Ben finished my closet! I love it and its hot handyman.
