Valentine's Day Weekend! Gigi

Mom and Dad came down from TC to leave for Florida. We celebrated Valentine's Day am with of course donuts and chocolate milk. :)
After dropping them off at the airport, we drove to Ann Arbor to go visit Gigi. We weren't for sure how the visit would go. Gigi was just transferred to the memory floor due to her Alzheimer's. With Covid restrictions at a nursing home...We though we would just see. Well, it wonderful. It was "protocol" for only 2 visitors at a time, no kids, and only visitations in the chapel. I asked if the kids could peek in to say hi one at a time and that evolved into all 5 of us visiting with her.
At first, Grandma was hesitant and nervous with just Ben and I but as soon as our kids walked in she lit up. Look at that sweet, beautiful smile. I posted all of the pics I snapped because this visit was so special and we want our kids to have as many moments to hold onto as possible.

We brought Gigi her favorite, chocolate chip cookies! Also, no eating allowed but we totally did. This was place was great!

After a few it was difficult to hold a conversation so we just began singing songs we thought she might know and it was a hit. Gigi tapped her foot, clapped her hands, and even sang a bit along with us. We love you, Gigi!

We stayed the night at Papa and Gma U's and had fun hanging out! The next morning, Luke had a bball tourney down the road from them. He played catcher all 3 games that day and did awesome! He even had his first hit out to the fence!!
