Spring is here!

Ahhhhh. Spring is here. The sun is up earlier and sets later. The birds are beginning to chirp. Garden beds are being cleaned out. We are all beginning to countdown until summer. And our spring sports are here. Baseball, soccer, basketball, track, and did I mention baseball?!
Spring is our favorite for sports...Bring it!

Ellie getting ready for her 1st travel soccer game for the Spring season and talking with her Dad for good luck!

Michigan Elite win their 1st Spring tournament!

Ben was able to meet Luke and Elle off the bus to watch the eclipse!
Middle school bus rides...
Ben coaching and Drew playing for Spring season with the Rochester Raptors and RHLL Bulls!
So all our baseball family is back together!

Ellie, Kayla and Avila
Caleb, Drew, and Sylvan
It was our first game of the season so ice cream downtown was a must to break in the season! They love getting the cars to honk at them as they drive by!

Being an IB school, all my 125 5th graders take part in their final Exhibition project. These two were the biggest help getting each of the student folders ready for me. :)

Weekend vibes. Shirts are already off.

Rochester Hills Little League celebrated their 60th anniversary. Mayor Barnett threw out the opening pitch for the start of the 2024 RHLL season and guess who they invited to catch for him. DREW! He was so sweet because he got so nervous!! I mean to Drew it was like catching for the president!
It was a cold, cold 8 am morning game.
After Drew popped up to snag his pitch, Barnett said to Drew, " You saved me!"

Fitting in homework to close out the year when we can!
Michigan Elite win their 2nd Spring tournament at Brother Rice!

Way to go, Luke!!
Luke and I stopped by Ben and Drew's practice for Luke to share about his big win. Drew's team looks up to Luke like he's famous or something and I gotta tell ya, it's pretty darn adorable.
Bros.
Drew at his 9 year well visit. Here are his stats!
67 lbs., 70th percentile
55.25 inches, 80th percentile

My gentle Drew.
Ellie gave track for Hart Middle School a go this Spring!! We are so proud of her for being a risk-taker and just going for new things. Ellie, keep that brave flame of I can try anything and see how it goes attitude. You shine so bright!!
Elle tried Cross Country in the fall and now Track in the spring and both I don't know a lot about. However, watch my brave and strong girl in her first race ever, the mile run. She was in very last place and kept going strong, finishing last but, finishing! You can hear her teammates cheering her on. You can see she finishes with all she has and doesn't become discouraged. So far I've learned that these two sports rock. They are filled with good kids who support each other and lift each other up and it reminded me that our kids can do hard things too when given the chance!!

We were able to stop after one of Luke's tournaments to see our cousins at Aunt Jan's house! It was so, so good to be with family.
Starting with Ellie and moving to the right: Ellie, Michael, Luke, Court, Abby, Margot, Jon, Kim, Jeff, Uncle Kris, Aunt Jan, Stedman, and Drew and Ben are playing baseball in the backyard. :)

Ellie loving on Margot's dogs. This girl needs a dog!

The Raptors sponsored a community service project for all our baseball dudes to give back to our town. We participated in Fleece and Thank You. This is a service project where you spend the day making fleece blankets that will be given to children patients in the hospital.

This event holds a special place in our hearts! When Luke broke his leg, the hospital gave him a Fleece and Thank You blanket. He loved it and still has it today.

Each of us has the choice to make a positive difference each day!!!

Off to soccer with my gal!

Our Magic soccer team will always hold a special place in our hearts.

These 2 goofs had a craving for some cookies.
Now we have our 3rd baseball team up and going... This year Ben is coaching and Drew is playing for the RHLL Durham Bulls!
This is always the best because the Raptor boys are dispersed within different Little League teams. Today we played against our Raptor besties on the Iron Pigs!
Left to right: Jack, Sylvan, Gibby, Drew, Christopher, and Caleb!

Drew's 3rd grade teacher texted me this pic. I mean, this kid just rocks.

SO what is my job? What do I do? Here is a glimpse of me presenting at Oakland Schools to a group of teacher leaders.
Luke's 3rd spring tournament in Flint town nonetheless!!

The BEST younger sibs to cheer on their big brother!!

I took a lot of pics and posting them all!

LOVE my girl.

It's a W!

That night we dropped Ellie off for a sleepover with her girls! I mean, matching pajamas and all!
Championship Sunday...Here we go Elite!

And 3 in a row of tournament champions!
