Halloween 2017

Kicking off this year's Halloween festivities...
We started at my school that I teach at! Ben stayed home with Drew and we were able to pick up Ayrton and Zaydee and off we were to Oxford! The kiddos had so much fun playing all of the fair games and it was pretty neat for them to see me in action as Ms. Morin and for them to meet my 3rd graders!
Z and E are digging for skeleton bones...
Ring toss on the witch's hats...
Playing on this homemade Plinko board. (I love Plinko!)
The girls went through the hoops multiple times!
Scary tatoos!
And to finish off the night, we waited in line for the Haunted House. The PTO turns our Media Center and outside courtyard into a spooky haunted house. It does get pretty scary so there are these angel fairies (middle school girls dressed in fairy costumes) that you can choose to get and all of the "scarers" know not to jump out at you and instead are friendly. All night the boys were all about nixing the fairies but then they got to the doors and it was angel fairies for all of us. :) One of my favorite old 3rd graders was our fairy and she was great but it was still pretty spooky!
The next day was sugar cookie time while the boys were out at soccer.
Ellie is such a good helper in the kitchen. If you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she will always tell you she will run "Elle's Sandwich Shop." She has a menu and a place picked out on Rochester Rd. (The old Outback Steakhouse) and everything. LOVE this girl.

Somebody took this shot for us at their soccer game and I love it!
The next morning we are in a pretty good routine of church and then off to the Big Boy brunch buffet with all of us! Here is our weekly corner spot.
And now the cookies have cooled and the boys have left for another soccer game, it is time to frost and decorate our pumpkin cookies!
Drew kept saying he was not scary but a friendly ghost.
Monday night we were all about getting our carve on!

Drew Boo still painting this year!

Then it's HALLOWEEN Eve!!!
We have 1 Ladybug Girl (from the book series),
1 super, strong superhero,
and a Heisman trophy winner!!

This year, the Floreno's had to cancel their Halloween party, so a few families stopped by first and together we were off to begin trick-or-treating!
We made it out for almost 2 hours!
Something about Drew's wobble with his big coat and cape over it reminded me of E.T.'s wobble and it was cracking me up!
The last house before heading home!
And one more look into Papa's candy bowl!
A Morin tradition...Sorting and categorizing the goods. For the first time, the kiddos wanted to combine all of their candy.
My little baby looking way too old already. What a handsome guy...
It was a good night!

September and October flew by!!

After a tiring and fun first week back to school, we headed back for Family Night on Friday! Cotton Candy was a first for both Elle and Drew. Drew finished everybody's. :) My little sweet tooth.

Then Saturday morning Auntie Megs and Uncle Chad came over to watch the kiddos for the weekend. Ben and I were off to Ohio for Carrie and Dave's (Matt's sister and her husband) birthday party! This party was more like a wedding!! Here we are with Ben's best buddy Matt and his wife Linds. Those two have been besties since 2nd grade! We were so excited to see them as they live out in Salt Lake, UT and so it's been a minute since we have seen them. They are having a sweet boy around this Christmas!
 Charactures and all!

Sunday morning we were able to squeeze in a baby shower for Linds and Ben was able to spend some time with Matt and the whole Heinig family.
We are so thankful for Megs and Chad spending the weekend with our kiddos. My heart was torn, leaving them after the first week of school and then starting all back up again Monday morning. They had so much fun though, going to Arts and Apples downtown, out to eat for breakfast and church!

We also have another 2-wheel biker around here! Wahoooo!
Uncle Chad gave Luke and Ben some football tickets so they met up with Gma and Papa Uitti for the day at the Big House!

Awww, look at these sport fans!
This picture is one of my faves of my 2 guys...

Then Sunday, off to the Farrand's new place for Mayer's 5th birthday party! The Farrand's used to live right next to us and Vaida and Luke were best buddies and always sat together on the bus. We were so sad when they moved to the other side of town but it was SO good to see them! I wasn't for sure how these two would do, being boy/girl and now being a year older, but they were inseparable and had so much fun.

This cutie is all smiles after picking him up from school. How did my little Drew boo, get SO big?!
For Ellie's birthday, Aunt Cathy and G.G. gave her such a FUN gift! A shopping day to shop for NEW clothes! We are so thankful because Ellie is given lots of great hand me downs from our friends and so shopping for new clothes hasn't happened much not to mention a whole trip just for new clothes for her! SHE LOVED IT! She loved looking through the hangers to find her size and then she laid outfits out on the floor and pieced them together how she liked. Below she is laying out the girl pj's that are in her size and then picking her favorite. This girl. :)
A successful shopping trip!
Then, meeting our guys at Luke's soccer game!

Afterwards, GAHHHHHH, we got to go baby registering with Megs and Chad!! We are beyond excited for this sweet, little person to enter our world!
One Sat. am Luke woke up and made us all Jacque's famous homemade pancakes all by himself!! He had helped out so many times that he was feeling pretty confident and my friends, following the recipe, he did it!
Gibby spent the day with us for Michigan/Michigan State day!! Luke is learning pretty quickly how to cheer for both of teams. :)

This intimidating super hero is all super power all day long. He wears his red cape pretty much everywhere we go.
Lukey rocking his Magnatile skill!
Finishing the week with Muffins and Moms! I am grateful for my awesome teaching team who covers my classroom in the morning for me on days that I can go do these fun "mommy" things with my own kiddos at their school!
While the boys are all football, Elle is drawing up a storm! Here she is with her Michigan M. :)
And leave the boys with their football and we are off to the library!

This is how Ellie walked off the bus...
Luke was star of the week and so he was in charge of Brown Bear for the week. Here we are downtown out for pizza with him!

Date night Bocci ball with Tony and Martha!
Luke's fan club at his soccer game! Soccer has really picked up this year with games both on Sat. and Sun. and a midweek practice on Thursday. Geesh!
Aunt Cathy and Uncle Tom surprised us with G.G.!!
Luke scores! 14!
Coach Ben at work...

Ellie showing G.G. her ballet skills! Everyone wants to show off for G.G.!
Awwww, I LOVE this picture!

More of Luke hustling down the field...

And finish off this weekend with a trip to the park with Gpa and Gma Cooley. We are loving this warm, fall weather!!!!!!
