4 Month Check-Up

Luke had his 4 month check-up a few weeks ago and he sure is GrOwInG! I met mom and Luke there because I had to leave a little early from work. They had already taken his measurements and they recorded his weight at 16 lbs. 10 oz. However, once I arrived I weighed him again so I could take a picture and he was 16 lbs. 11 oz. Growing by the minute :) !
Weight percentile: 75-90%
Length percentile: 75-90%
Head Circumference percentile: 75%

Quilt Action!

Luke playing on the quilt that Bing and Mrs. Zimmerman made for him! He LOVES the different designs. He'll stare at the patterns and try to "pick" them up off the quilt. Too cute.

Luke is a roly poly rolling over ALL of the time! Sometimes he'll still get "stuck" on his tummy and will want help... but he's figuring it out.

Adjustments and Transitions

Let's hear it for Grandma! WAHOO!!!! The big news right now for us is that in this past week I have gone from being a mama to a working mama with school starting back up. We're all adjusting but Grandma Cooley has been wonderful watching Luke for us during this transition. She'll be watching Luke until Christmas vaca and yes Grandpa...thank you too! We sure do appreciate all of the love and support they've provided for not only Luke...but us as well!
Loving on Daddy.

First (of many!) Saturday college fooball game! Luke is decked out in his Western gear. Oh, well. I love how he hangs out in front of the tube with his arm laid back on his lounger. :)
Later that Saturday morning we were off to the First Annual Cooley Kid's Table Reunion! It was so fun catching up with our cousins and having them all meet our Lukester!
Cousins just enjoying it at Aunt Jan's once all of our little ones were down for the night.
Check out my beautiful cousin Erika (short dark hair and kneeling in the back)! She's having twins in Feb.!!!
Quick! Take a pic of everyone before the babes go down for the night and before a meltdown occurs. Too late. Sorry Abs and Mallywogs...we got you in the other pic. :) Cousin Love.
More cousin love! Lukie hanging with Aunt Lisa and Christine!
Thinking it over.
And the baby burrito is no longer...

Squeaky Clean!

Always keeping one eye open. (smart boy)

The many faces of Luke...

Squeaky clean and ready for bed.

SOME of the Heinigs :)

Luke met Mrs. Heinig, Aunt Loni and Ali for the first time! Grandma Heinig made Luke this beautiful blue blanket. Now, Luke and Ali have matching blankies :)Ali, you are an absolute doll and we are so happy to have been able to play with you!
Instant buds.

Exciting New Things...

The first time that Luke slept during the night without the full baby burrito!

Luke slept through the night for the first time! His bedtime is 8:00 and he slept all the way until 6:00 am! WAHOO!

Luke also rolled over for the fisrt time yesterday (August 21st)! Although we weren't expecting it, so we don't have any footage of it...next time we'll get it though! He was doing tummy time on his floor gym and the next thing I know he flipped himself over to the right and was then lying on his back. Pretty exciting stuff!

Don't Worry...Be Happy!

Our happy little guy!

Dad is pretty funny!

A Day on the Lake

On Saturday we were able to spend the day on Crystal Lake! My parents were having their annual sibling reunion and I believe that we are the first kids/grandkid to crash their party. :) We spent the day catching up with our uncles and aunts, swimming, eating good food, resting by the bonfire, and Luke even had his first boat ride!

Fun with Uncle Phil, Sandy, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Wayne, Dad, and Mom!
Luke and I with our favorite captain!

My baby's muscle shirt...welcome to the gun show.

Taking a dip with Grandma Cooley.
Life is good.

Cute as a Button!

Luke is such a little slobber mouth with all of his bubble blowing and hand sucking antics!
Awwwww, so sweet. I love kissing those chubby cheeks!

Luke is already for bed and getting some last minute playtime with Dad. Luke is like his parents in that he LOVES going to sleep!

Smiling, Reaching, Giggling, Oh My!

Our most favorite smile in the world.
Luke is now playing in his exersaucer! However, he is still techinically not big enough for it. We jimmy it up by stuffing a blanket behind him and as you can see he can just barely reach one of his big toes to the bottom of it!
He is reaching for his toys now and successfully grabbing and holding onto them. Sometimes he's holding on so hard that his little knuckles turn white! We think he's one pretty strong fella!
On the other side of this cow is a mirror. Luke loves checking himslef out in the moo-mirror...he thinks he is pretty cute too!
