Luke met Mrs. Heinig, Aunt Loni and Ali for the first time! Grandma Heinig made Luke this beautiful blue blanket. Now, Luke and Ali have matching blankies :)Ali, you are an absolute doll and we are so happy to have been able to play with you!

Exciting New Things...

The first time that Luke slept during the night without the full baby burrito!

Luke slept through the night for the first time! His bedtime is 8:00 and he slept all the way until 6:00 am! WAHOO!

Luke also rolled over for the fisrt time yesterday (August 21st)! Although we weren't expecting it, so we don't have any footage of it...next time we'll get it though! He was doing tummy time on his floor gym and the next thing I know he flipped himself over to the right and was then lying on his back. Pretty exciting stuff!

A Day on the Lake

On Saturday we were able to spend the day on Crystal Lake! My parents were having their annual sibling reunion and I believe that we are the first kids/grandkid to crash their party. :) We spent the day catching up with our uncles and aunts, swimming, eating good food, resting by the bonfire, and Luke even had his first boat ride!

Luke is already for bed and getting some last minute playtime with Dad. Luke is like his parents in that he LOVES going to sleep!

Smiling, Reaching, Giggling, Oh My!

Luke is now playing in his exersaucer! However, he is still techinically not big enough for it. We jimmy it up by stuffing a blanket behind him and as you can see he can just barely reach one of his big toes to the bottom of it!

He is reaching for his toys now and successfully grabbing and holding onto them. Sometimes he's holding on so hard that his little knuckles turn white! We think he's one pretty strong fella!

On the other side of this cow is a mirror. Luke loves checking himslef out in the moo-mirror...he thinks he is pretty cute too!

First Vaca at the Cottage

Thank you Uncle Tom and Aunt Cathy for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage for the week! We had a great time...sunny skies and warm Lake Huron all week long.
We're hoping these subliminal messages soak in. :)

Good Friends...Good Times

Luke hanging out with our beautiful friend Victoria who traveled all the way from LA! Victoria is our close friend that we met at WMU during our summer jobs as orientation leaders. Luke loves himself some California girls! :)
Luke finally got to meet the Brang's! Ingrid has been one of my closest friends since 2nd grade and it was so special to have our boys meet and spend the weekend together. Luke was also able to meet Aunt Death whom I also love and adore (don't be fooled by her name!). I feel so lucky that Luke's been able to meet 3 of my banchie girls so far. Kate made a visit earlier in the summer however, I think I only had one eye open when she came (early morning visit!) and hence, no pic. Krisser, I still need to get the pics of all 3 of us from Bing. I'm not sure how to download them from FB. Luke can't wait to meet the rest of you girls!!!
