Cottage 2020: We were SO eager and excited to spend an entire week up north at the cottage this year! During COVID, it was a slice of heaven to be isolated in a safe space away from all other humans surrounded by pure beauty. Thank you, Uncle Tom and Aunt Cathy!
The 1st day was windy! It was the perfect day to jump Lake Huron's BIG waves.

We have LOTS of fun traditions at the cottage but playing family games is one of my favorites. This year's favorite game was Monopoly Deal.
THE TRAIN!!!! Off we go...now waiting for it to pass.
We headed over to the dunes at Lumberman's Monument. It was the perfect HOT, summer day. It made the cool lake at the bottom even sweeter.
The dune is steep and hard to climb. This year though everyone climbed up at record times! Ben and I were talking about the days when we had diaper bags, all the things to carry, and a baby in each arm.

I can't believe how big Luke is getting and what a funny and kind kid he is to everyone. For the first time, Luke was in charge of mowing the grass!
We found a sweet, little nest filled with furry baby birds. Their tiny mouths were opening, looking for their mama. We made sure our babes didn't touch but they loved seeing them.

We had beautiful weather with blue skies and blue water. We love spending the day at the beach.

We love you, Cottage. You always give us a peaceful space to feel all of the love right before another year is about to begin.
