Our sweet, strong, and smart baby girl is 8!! We love you so, SO much Ellie. You have such a kind heart and you are always rooting for the underdog, trying to think of ways you can spread love to others. You love your family so much and you get disappointed when a weekend day can't be a family day because of other things going on. You are an all-star at school! Last year, you were voted on by students and staff to be named the PRIDE leader of your entire school!! At your class end of the year party you were nominated as "The Class President". You ask A LOT of questions. Most of the time you are curious and sometimes you are just confirming what you think is true. You love your 2 bros. You and Drew can play for hours...Literally from the time you two wake up until 8 at night you guys play all of your games...Doggy, "Katie, Jake, Jack and Livvy," baby, fairies, Harry Potter, etc. Basically you two are far and away in your own imaginary lands all day. Sometimes I remind you that I'm the Mom. :) Little special things about Ellie: You like just a little milk on your cereal, you love salami, each night you put hand cream and Chapstick on, you LOVE Zoom and love to teach me how to teach on it, you setup Zoom meetings after school to chat with your friends, you love to say hi to whoever Dad and I are talking to on the phone, you love to watch Love it or List It on HGTV, you love "modern" style, when reading out loud you read so fast that I have to ask you to slow down, you love to laugh and you think your Dad is so funny. Ellie had been asking to go on a high ropes course for awhile. There is a new course over at Oakland University. When we drive through campus Elle always asks to go. Elle LOVES thrills, so happy birthday sweet girl! Here we go!! Drew was just a bit too young for the course so I stayed on the ground with Drew and Ben took the birthday girl and Luke!
Ellie was so brave and resilient! Luke and Ben really were too. Our course started at 4 and they conquered the ENTIRE course and were up in the trees until almost 8! Elle, keep conquering the journey ahead with the same excitement and confidence. We love you!!
